Center for International Religious Studies
After the Islamic Revolution, many organizations were founded for religious activities inside and outside of Iran. These organizations, while themselves carrying out remarkable activities, always pointed out the need for scientific and applicable research centers working in the fields of religion and religious discourses, the role of religious foundations and the challenges they face, and the role of religion in future global changes.
With a focus on studies on religion, international and global events, and with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary and sociological approaches, the Center was established in 2008.
Objectives
1.Carrying out foundational and field researches in sociology, politics, and economy of religion
2. Analysis and critical approach of theories of religion based on the realities of the world, especially in the world of Islam and specifically that of Shiism
3.Joint research and co operations with other academic organizations active in the field of religion

The center enjoys a conference room with instant interpretation equipment, specialized and multilingual library, and a well equipped computer lab.
