Center of Information Technology and Cyberspace
The University of Tehran’s Informatics Center (UTIC) founded in 1966 as one of the pioneer of computer centers in Iran. At that time, the main responsibility of the Center was to provide computing services using mainframes. In previous decade, based on ICT technologies progresses, the main mission of this center was establishment a network as an infrastructure and developing various TPSs to satisfy users’ requirements. Recently, the name of this center has changed to Center of Information Technology and Cyberspace, and its mission has focused on developing e-services by using special capabilities and capacities of cyberspace.
Main Missions
- Providing a robust, reliable and secure information technology infrastructure for the University
- Providing a variety of computing and networking services to the entire University
- Providing leadership in planning for the effective use of IT in the University
- Providing Information systems which are needed for the whole University
- Increasing the level of service integration to achieve more users’ satisfaction
