Institute of Geophysics
The Institute offers MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in Geophysics in Earthquake Seismology, Exploration Seismology, Geomagnetism and Gravity. It further offers MSc and PhD programs in Meteorology with two majors including Dynamic Meteorology and Synoptic Meteorology. It trains some of the best experts in earthquake seismology around the world.

Geophysics has established the Research Center for Earthquake Precursors to monitor earthquakes occurring in Iran, and study the seismicity of Iran with emphasis on micro-earthquake activity and further investigation of earthquake precursors
